He takes everything to heart, including the blood he thinks runs in his veins, and it affects everything in his life. Jace's character, while tough on the outside, is probably the most vulnerable of the whole cast.

Don't get me wrong, it pays off, but its a good reminder that gifted or not, she is still only sixteen. Cassandra does a good job at showing her age though in her, admittedly, reckless actions. Clary seems to have accepted her heritage, and wants to be involved in what is going on around her. We are exposed to a whole lot more characters in City of Glass, and we get quite a bit of growth with the ones we have gotten to know over the last two books.
